Jacob Black
The Dream
Name: Jacob Black
Age 26
Occupation: Mechanic
Species: Werewolf/Shapeshifter
The Visage
Avatar Claim: Brandon Lee
Eye Color: Almost black
Hair Color: Black
Height: 6'7
Weight: 200
Facial Features: First and foremost, Jacob's face is the kind that can't hide his emotions. He has extremely white teeth next to his tan skin, so his smile had a tendency to be very conspicuous, and he smiles quite often. However, his boy-ish features are long since gone, and his face has been tightened to make him appear to be in his mid-twenties for the past eight years. All the same, there's still a slight sense of youth that he somehow manages to portray.
Anything Else? He, of course, can phase into a very large wolf when it's necessary.
Overall Dress/Appearance: How Jacob looks depends entirely on when you see him. See, if you see an oversized wolf that has russet fur, that would be Jacob after he's phased. As a human, he has slightly grown out black hair (it used to be much longer, but he cropped it after finding out he was a werewolf, and then he let it grow out because he thought Bella liked it that way), with dark eyes and skin that actually matches the shade of his fur. He's incredibly tall, reaching 6'7and is incredibly muscular, his tendons being visible on his skin when he's angry enough. He can seem almost scary upon first glance, but oftentimes, he's smiling about something, which would probably alleviate any fears.
The Demeanor
Overall Personality: Generally, Jacob's a very cheerful, fun loving guy. He's the kind of person you can go to on a bad day, and he'll find some way of cheering you up, even if he's not trying to. Whether it's with an amusing comment or his ability to find something for you to do that'll distract you from your problems, Jacob is a good friend to have if you find yourself unhappy often. Additionally, he's fiercely loyal and will stand by your side as long as he can. However, he's the sort of person who's very much ruled by circumstance, and it can be said that he both gives up easily and doesn't know how to let go. He'll refuse to see someone if there's something that's upsetting him about the decisions they're making or how they're behaving, yet he'll continue to care about them and not want them to do anything that would take them away from him.
On the flipside, Jacob is the kind of person who will let his anger overtake him. Really, he can be seen as judgemental when he's mad enough, not really understanding why someone would do what they're doing. However, he's very passionate and really only wants what he thinks is best for the people that he loves. He would risk life and limb for them, but there's a good chance he wouldn't be able to let them go if they needed to end their friendship or whatever sort of relationship they had. He is, essentially, ruled by his emotions, and he's always up for some kind of adventure or smartass comment. His main issue is learning how to deal with loss. He doesn't remember the first major loss of his life, so he never really learned how to deal with it, hence why the thought of losing Bella or anyone he loves, is a bitter pill to swallow.
What is your character's deepest secret? He can't handle loss of any kind, and he feels that if Nessie doesn't fall in love with him like he's falling for her, that he'll have lost her.
What is your character's strongest desire? Keep Reneesme safe and happy.
The Past
Family: Billy Black [father], Sarah Black [mother, deceased], Rachel & Rebecca [older sisters, they're twins], Ephraim Black [ancestor]
Previous and Current Romantic Relationships: There was a time when he was madly in love with Bella. Then Reneesme was born, and he imprinted on her. Since she's fully grown, he knows he's falling in love with her. He's just waiting to be sure that that the feelings are mutual, with quite a bit of inner anxiety.
History: Jacob was the third Black child, about four years after Rachel and Rebecca, to Billy and Sarah Black, a rather happy couple that had been waiting a long time to complete their family, since Sarah had always wanted a little boy. Sadly, this didn't last very long, because Jacob had just barely turned two when Sarah was viciously attacked by a rogue vampire, and then turned. Naturally, she couldn't be around anymore. Despite Billy's devastation, he tried to be as calm as he could, and claimed that it was a car accident that took his wife away from them. So the funeral went on, closed casket of course, and the Black children thoroughly believed that was what happened. It wouldn't be until the girls were fully grown, and the boys of La Push began to shapeshift into wolves due to the presence of vampires, that any of them knew the truth (this would eventually lead to Rebecca running off to Hawaii).
Despite the loss of his mother, Jacob still had a pretty normal childhood, with his two big sisters who more often than not drove him nuts, and his father to bond with. Often times over the summer, when Billy and his good friend Cheif Charlie Swan were watching various sporting events on TV, Jacob would be spending time with Charlie's young daughter Bella, who came for two weeks every summer to spend time with her father. Even at his young age, he treasured his friendship with Bella, and his family often used to tease him about his "little girlfriend", to which he got him more than a little annoyed. Living on the reservation, he naturally heard many Quileute legends, but even in his young age, he figured they were just stories made up to freak people out. After all, them turning into wolves and there being blood sucking vampires around? That sounded like something out of a horror movie, and not a very good one at that.
When he was fifteen, Bella moved to Forks officially, and while she didn't remember their times playing together, he certainly did. It was upon their reunion that he realized how pretty she had gotten and it didn't take him very long at all to develop a crush on her. It was due to this that she was able to flirt with him to get him to tell her the supposed reason why the Cullens didn't go to La Push Beach. Soon after, Bella and Edward Cullen became an item, and Billy started acting rather insane about it, in the eyes of his son. Of course Jacob was disappointed that Bella was taken, but he wasn't the one who gave Edward death glares (unless Edward gave them to him first) and bribed him to tell Bella to break up with him. That was pretty embarrassing in his mind. Little did he know at the time that Billy's reasons were those stories that were far more than just stories.
When word got out that Edward had left Bella, Jacob was positively furious. How could he just do that to her? He had half a mind to try to find the jerk and give him a piece of his mind, but Billy talked some sense into him, and so he waited. He probably would have gone to Bella sooner if it weren't for the fact that they weren't really such great friends at the time, and if it wasn't also for the fact that Sam Uley and some of the other boys in La Push were starting to act a little strangely and becoming total muscle men. Thankfully, the depressed girl came to him, with a request of helping him fix two motorcycles that were in the Black's garage. Without asking that many questions, he gladly allowed her to spend that much time with him. In those few months, they became the one thing that made sense in each other's lives, since Bella was still grieving and Jacob was becoming increasingly creeped out over the cult-ish vibe that the guys were starting to have. It was during this time that Jacob realized that he was falling in love with her, which was why his transformation was very mentally devastating for him. He kept trying to push her away, but then he realized that he couldn't. However, he didn't tell her directly about his secret, and let her come to them. After an argument due to misunderstandings (Bella thought that the pack was responsible for all of the killings going on, Jacob thought she hated him for not being "her kind of monster"), their friendship began to continue.
It was Jacob that saved Bella from drowning after she went cliff diving on her own, desiring to hear Edward's voice. Soon after, Alice Cullen returned, much to Jacob's annoyance, now that he knew that the Cullens really were vampires and had grown a hatred of them. It was due to his answer over where Charlie was to Edward disguising his voice as Carlisle ("at the funeral" referring to Harry Clearwater, but Edward assumed it was Bella, due to Alice's vision of her jumping), which then led him to going off to the Volturi. Despite his objections, Bella went to save Edward. After their return, Jacob came to them, reminding Edward of the treaty that stated that the Cullens couldn't bite a human without starting a war. That was when he discovered that Bella had planned to become a vampire, much to his disgust. After this, he began to avoid her, not answering her calls, only sending her a single note before Bella was finally allowed to visit him on the reservation. Once these visits began, Jacob finally admitted what they both knew for a long time; that he loved Bella. He even tried to kiss her, but she punched him in the face in response, resulting in a broken hand.
Sometime after this, it's clear that Victoria, a vampire hell bent on killing Bella, and her army of newborns are heading toward Forks. In an unprecedented decision, the Quileute wolves and the Cullens agree to work together to fight off this threat. Up in the mountains, Jacob overheard Edward and Bella's discussion of marriage. He then told Bella that he intended to join the fight, risking his life, because Bella didn't love him. However, Bella kisses him, and realizes that she does, in fact love him. Yet after the vampires are defeated, Bella tells him that despite this, she can't live without Edward. That was when he realized that she wasn't going to change her mind, and upon receiving the invitation for Edward and Bella's wedding, he ran off after arguing with Leah Clearwater, the only female werewolf, leaving Jacob Black behind by turning into a wolf. Despite this, after a long time of travelling, he made a surprise appearance at Bella's wedding, even dancing with her before he discovered that Bella intended to sleep with Edward after the wedding. Disgusted and horrified due to the fact that this could easily kill Bella, he left after arguing. The wait for Edward and Bella's return was torturous, and he began obsessing over what sort of story they would make up to excuse Bella's disappearance upon turning into a vampire, comparing the possibility of a closed casket funeral to his mother's funeral, and also with imprinting, since his sister Rachel had been imprinted on by Paul.
It took quite some time for him to discover that instead of being a vampire, Bella was pregnant with Edward's child, and worse, she was dying from this. Jacob wanted nothing more than to kill that child, and for a while, he had Edward on his side in this situation, but soon after Edward heard that baby's thoughts, he realized that he was all alone in this. Soon, the rest of the pack found out about Bella's child and planned to kill both Bella and the unborn vampire child. That was when Jacob broke away from Sam's pack, as the "True Alpha" and formed his own pack in order to protect Bella, which included Seth and Leah Clearwater, and later grew. There even came a point when Jacob ran off to find someone, anyone to imprint on. Yet it didn't work...that is, until he came in contact with the thing he had wanted dead. Reneesme Cullen, the little baby in Rosalie's arms, became the center of his universe. He imprinted on her. Needless to say, Bella wasn't the least bit happy about this at first, and there was certainly some injuries (mostly for Seth, because he tried to protect Jacob, who wouldn't even phase to defend himself from the newborn that he considered to be his best friend), but eventually, they came to realize that this would allow Jacob and Bella to remain friends. It also united the Quileute pack and the Cullens. Jacob completely doted upon Nessie, acting as her protector and hunting partner. This came in handy when the Volturi came as a result of Irene mistaking Nessie for an immortal child, which were considered illegal and targets for death. It seemed as if Nessie was going to die until Alice and Jasper arrived with another half vampire, who proved that Nessie wouldn't risk the secrecy of the existence of vampires. And so life was peaceful in Forks again.
For the next seven years, Jacob and Nessie have simply grown closer, going from kickass babysitting to best friends (and occasionally helping each other at Jacob's shop where he works as a mechanic), and now that Nessie is of age, it's sure to grow into something more.

Age: I am 16 going on 17. *giggles*
Time Roleplaying: Over 4 years. My five year anniversary's coming up in the spring!
How'd you find us? I play Edward.
Any other characters? Edward Cullen, and definitely an OC soon.
Let Us Begin...
RP Sample: This wasn't the least bit unusual. Jacob would be leaning by his car in front of Forks High School, waiting for the auburn curls of a certain girl who had been the center of his world since the day she was born. Of course, he had had an idea of what to expect once she got to this age. He would eventually fall in love with her, he knew that. But he hadn't realized how much it was going to affect him when that time came. He couldn't pinpoint the exact time, but he knew that it had hit him a couple of months after Nessie's seventh birthday. That sounded so strange in his mind, even if he had known that she would be fully grown within that amount of time for most of Nessie's life. He supposed that was just the sort of thing that you didn't entirely get used to...rapid growth. At least the other vampires didn't age...that he was able to get used to.
The fact that he was associating with them sometimes surprised Jacob. There was a time where he would have gladly ripped any of their throats out. He couldn't even stand to be around them, and completely hated the idea of his best friend that he had, at the time, been absolutely in love with, wanting to be one of them. Them beginning to learn to work with one another had started when the psycho vampiress that was trying to kill Bella came along with her newborns...they had to, after all. They were both working for the same goal. Yet they still hated each other. Then Reneesme came along...she was like a living treaty between the wolves...Shapeshifters, he mentally corrected himself. That was annoying, really. Anyway, she brought both of the groups together...and now they were like a family...in a sort of dysfunctional way. He was sure that Edward would want to kill him if Nessie DID feel the same way.
And so he waited. She had to arrive sooner or later.
