The Dream
Name Bella Cullen
Age Forever 18
Occupation: Unemployed
Species: Vampire
The Visage
Avatar Claim: Kristen Stewart
Eye Color: Honey gold, but turn black with hunger.
Hair Color: Brown
Height: 5'4"
Weight: 115
Facial Features: Her face is heart-shaped—a wide forehead with a widow's peak, large, wide-spaced eyes, prominent cheekbones, and then a thin nose and a narrow jaw with a pointed chin. Her lips are a little out of proportion, a bit too full for her jaw line. Her eyebrows are darker than her hair and more straight than they are arched.
Anything Else? Bella's change from human to vampire consisted of her becoming very beautiful, her already pale skin becoming even whiter, her hair becoming darker, and her lips becoming fuller as well. Her beauty is compared to that of Alice or Esme.
The Demeanor
Overall Personality: Bella is understanding, caring, and intelligent, with a dry sense of humor, and is noted for being very clumsy. She has a very private mind. She is also very self-controlled as a vampire, being able to run away from the scent of human blood on her first hunting trip. Bella's private mind that rejected some vampires' special abilities while she was human evolved after she became a vampire. Her ability formed into allowing her to shield those around her from the mental powers of some other vampires. She is also described by Edward as "very graceful" as a vampire, in comparison to her earlier clumsiness.
As Bella's strength grew so did her protectiveness, not that she has the abilities to protect those around her she does. Given her ability is a shield, her and her powers make a perfect match. Although her abilities have made her strong, her soft spot still is and always will be for Edward, and now Renesmee. She is still protective of her daughter despite the fact she's growing up.
What is your character's deepest secret? Her fear that Edward may not want her one day now that her blood can no longer attract him to her.
What is your character's strongest desire? To become stronger and protect her entire family from all harm.

Previous and Current Romantic Relationships: Edward was her first boyfriend, and when he left her behind Bella got attached to Jacob as well. Though once Edward came back the two got married and it's been him since.
History: Bella was born to Charlie and Renee Swan on September 13, 1987. It wasn't long after she was born that Renee took her and left, claiming she hated Forks and couldn't live there anymore. While Charlie was crushed, the two remained on speaking terms, and are actually pretty good friends despite the divorce. Bella grew up with her mother in Phoenix, Arizona, spending several weeks with her father in Forks every summer.
When Bella was seventeen, she took it upon herself to move to Forks permanently, allowing her mother to travel with her new husband, minor-league baseball player Phil Dwyer, more easily. She knew she hated Forks, but her mother's happiness was more important to her than her own, so she grinned and bore it. Upon arriving in the rainy town with her father, she discovered he'd already bought a truck for her, and, despite his worries, she fell in love with it. Deciding that maybe it wouldn't be so bad here after all, she went to bed the tiniest bit hopeful for the start at school to come.
By the end of her first day in Forks High School, however, that hope was torn from its spot, thrown in the mud, and trampled on by every single student there. Bella spent the entire day being stared at like she beamed in from Mars, was made a spectacle of in nearly all of her classes, was subjected to year-long gym, and was certain that someone already wanted to kill her for no apparent reason. While intrigued by the outcast family that no one else seemed to want to talk to, she was certain that she'd made a horrible impression on the boy closest to her age, Edward. All she'd done was look at him, and in return she was glared at like the devil himself, and when sitting next to him in Biology the following period, he seemed as if he were in pain due to her mere presence.
While the pain bit was true, the hating bit wasn't. In fact, just the opposite was true. Edward was inexplicably drawn to her, and vice versa. And she didn't mind one bit. After he saved her from a group of rough-looking men in Port Angeles, she and Edward spent more and more time together, eventually declaring their love for each other in "his" meadow. He brought her back to meet his parents, and, much to Bella's surprise, they were thrilled to have her there. Bella's happiness, however, wasn't to last.
She was soon introduced to the carnivorous vampires, and, with her luck, one that was a tracker. A tracker who found her scent particularly tempting. A tracker who then made it his mission to find and kill her. Bella ran for awhile, following the carefully constructed plan the Cullens came up with. However, when James called to tell her he had her mother, Bella knew she had to strike out on her own. It wasn't until it was too late that she'd been tricked and had fallen right into James's hands. Luckily for her, Edward had figured it out as well, and was able to get there before she was killed, but not before she was beaten and bitten.
Bella spent much of that summer in the hospital, using the excuse that she'd tripped, fallen down two flights of stairs, and crashed through a window as her explanation. The following September held a date Bella dreaded, her 18th birthday. While no one else seemed to care, she saw it as a death sentence. With each year that passed, she got that much older than Edward, who would be eternally 17. She hated it. But, she went to the party that Alice threw anyway, not wanting to hurt anyone's feelings.
Seeming to be unable to escape danger, she gave herself a paper cut while opening a present, the tiny cut being just enough to rouse Jasper's thirst. Edward, going into protective mode, knocked Bella backward, sending her crashing through a glass table and sending the Cullens out of the house. It was after this incident that Edward decided it'd be safer for Bella if they left. He convinced her that he didn't love her anymore and moved away, leaving Bella a shell of herself behind him. She was near comatose for months, living in a monotony that she couldn't break, and that scared everyone around her.
At the threat of being sent away to live with her mother, Bella agreed to start seeing her friends again, setting up a date for a movie with her friend Jessica. While in Port Angeles, she wound up in a situation much like when she was last here, only this time he wasn't here to save her. Or so she thought. As she strode closer to the men by the bar, she heard his voice in her head, which put her between a rock and a hard place. Risk her life and be somewhat happy, or be safe and miserable? Trading her life for a chance to hear his voice again sounded perfectly reasonable to her.
Within the week she'd bought two motorcycles and gone to visit her friend Jacob Black in La Push, convincing him to fix the bikes up and teach her to ride. As he did, she got more and more daring, each time hearing Edward's voice clearer and clearer. She was becoming closer to her old self, until suddenly Jacob stopped answering her calls. And he didn't want her to come down to the house. He said it was for her own safety, but then, that's what he said when he left. She was hurt, and confused, and wanted desperately to know what was going on.
She soon got her answer. After several hints dropped by Jacob, Bella was able to put enough together to figure out that her best friend was a werewolf. Would she ever be able to get away from the supernatural? Apparently not. Keeping up with her reckless streak, it isn't long before she attempts cliff-diving (a popular extreme sport among the La Push boys) to hear Edward's voice. In the process, she nearly drowns. Alice returns to Forks, thinking Bella has killed herself, and Rosalie passes this news along to Edward, who in turn leaves for Italy to provoke the vampire leaders so he can be killed too.
Racing against time, Alice and Bella leave for Italy, and Bella is able to find Edward just before he steps into the sun. At first he's dazed, thinking he's died and gone to hell, but Bella is able to convince him otherwise. They are introduced to the Volturi, and promise them that Bella will be changed within a year to prevent any trouble from occurring.
Upon returning to Forks, Edward explains his reasoning for leaving to Bella and begs for her forgiveness. She grants it, asking again to be turned into a vampire. When Edward again refuses, she leaves the matter up to the Cullens, who all vote affirmatively, except for Edward and Rosalie. Edward then presents a new proposition; he will change Bella, so long as she's married to him first. Not only does she have to deal with this, but Jacob has brought up the fact that should Bella be changed, it will break the treaty with the Quileute wolves, stirring up a war between both her families. What's a girl to do?
By the time senior year starts, Bella's being pressured from twelve different directions. Her father has imposed a strict grounding after hearing about the motorcycle excursions, and is joining in with Edward in helping her decide what college to go to. As well as deciding college, Edward is also pressing the issue of marriage, something Bella is incredibly nervous about. Not that she doesn't want to be with Edward, but, after what happened between her parents and what people will think if they get married at eighteen, she's unsure of what to do. On top of it all, Jacob refuses to see her anymore.
Add in graduation approaching and it'd be enough for anyone to lose their mind. Bella's actually surprised she hasn't yet. She's done surprisingly well with all that she's had to deal with. Until a new tidbit of information is brought to her attention; Victoria has returned to Forks with every intention of killing her. No reason to stress, right? Nah. Unfortunately for Bella, Edward does have to feed every now and then, and she's reduced to being held hostage for the weekend so she doesn't slip away to see Jacob. She does anyway, of course, encouraged by Edward's forbiddance. Luckily for her, he's not angry when she gets home, and even goes so far as to admit he's been overprotective.
Things are going well for the vampire-human-werewolf triangle, until Jacob crosses the line. On one of Bella's visits, the wolf-boy admits his feelings for Bella and kisses her. Forcefully. Before she can register what she's doing, she winds back and slams her fist into Jacob's jaw, only succeeding in breaking her own hand. She goes home to call Edward and have him take her to Carlisle to check on her hand. Upon arriving at Bella's house, Edward warns Jacob that the next time he kisses her without her permission, he'd gladly break Jacob's jaw for Bella.
Another weekend hunting trip comes along, but this time she'd being held hostage by Edward, a welcome change. It's when this instance arrives that Bella realizes there's one human experience she's not willing to give up; the one that Edward was hoping to avoid. Bella agrees to marry Edward, with his promise that they'd try sleeping together before she became a vampire. With that, she became the soon-to-be Mrs. Edward Cullen, and there was nothing she could do to change it. (Which she wouldn't, no matter how much she cringed at the idea of being engaged.)
Soon after, graduation came, and with it an army of newborn vampires that Victoria had been building in Seattle. Backed into a corner, the Cullens turned to the Quileute wolves for help, upping their numbers so they could stand a fighting chance. Bella, refusing to sit idly by while the men she loves go off to war, pulls Edward out of the fight, convincing him to stay behind with her for her own sanity. Jacob, however, takes the opposite route, declaring to go into battle with every intent of dying since Bella doesn't love him back. In an act of desperation, Bella asks him to kiss her, her plan backfiring when she realizes she loves him too.
When the battle is over, Bella returns to La Push one last time to tell Jacob that, though she loves him, she can't exist without Edward. It kills her to leave him, and he takes a piece of her heart with him, but the pain isn't as excruciating as when Edward left, and by morning she's alright. Assuring Edward that she has every intention of marrying him and doesn't regret a thing, she puts the ring on and takes his hand, bringing him home to tell Charlie.
In what seems a blur of passing time, the wedding has taken place, and Isabella Marie Swan has become Mrs. Edward Cullen. She can't believe it, and is looking forward to what life is bringing her next. Edward whisks her off to an island Carlisle gave to Esme as a present for their honeymoon, and that night Edward comes through on his promise. Despite Bella's indescribably good mood, he's horrified with himself in the morning to find his new bride covered in bruises she wasn't aware were there. Despite her reassurances that she's fine, he refuse to make love with her again until she's a vampire.
They've been at the island for several weeks now, and upon finding a box of unused tampons in the toiletry bag Alice backed for her, Bella is shocked to discover she may be pregnant. But this quickly? She was only five days late! Apparently, human time tables didn't apply when the father was a vampire. Edward is terrified, and arranges to take Bella home that minute and for Carlisle to abort the baby. Bella refuses, feeling attached and fiercely protective to the baby even in the short amount of time he's been there.
Bella feigns happiness even though the baby is slowly killing her, refusing to think negatively and utterly convinced she'll make it through. Edward isn't as hopeful, and begs Jacob to make her see sense. Bella, of course, doesn't listen, and is still smiling when he comes in even when she can't sit up at all and her ribs are being broken one by one. It's in a fit of sarcastic anger on Jacob's part that what saves Bella is thought of. Edward, overhearing Jacob's sardonic thought that Bella might as well be drinking blood, sends Rosalie up to the store they had for Bella and make her drink it, and it makes her stronger.
It isn't long before, completely accidentally, Bella causes the placenta to detach, and Edward, Alice, Rosalie, and Jacob are forced to perform an emergency delivery. By the time Bella gives birth, it's a wonder she's still alive. She's lost a ridiculous amount of blood, and has broken several ribs and her spine. After giving birth to the baby and naming her Renesmee Carlie Cullen, her heart stops beating, and Edward is forced to change her to save her. When she wakens two days later, she's a fully developed newborn vampire, a mother to the most adorable baby on the planet, and Jacob has imprinted on said adorable baby. Needless to say, Bella's furious, and breaks Seth Clearwater's shoulder accidentally in an attempt to attack Jacob.
Aside from this momentary lapse in control, Bella is highly developed for a newborn vampire, and is even able to control her thirst enough to run away from humans when she smells them. Because of this, she's able to go down and see her daughter that same day, a fact which thrilled her. Sadly, her happiness was not to last.
After being discovered by Irina, a vampire from the Denali clan who was Laurent's mate before he was destroyed by the Quileute wolves for attacking Bella, she went to the Volturi and told them of the existence of a vampire child, a forbidden entity and direct breach of vampire law. Instead of having the Cullens come to Italy, the Volturi are coming to Forks to settle the matter themselves. Alice and Jasper disappear for reasons unknown to anyone but themselves, leaving the Cullens seemingly helpless against the threat of the Volturi. Carlisle, Esme, Emmett, and Rosalie left in search of any vampires they could rally to their cause, leaving Bella and Edward home with Renesmee to explain the situation to all who arrived.
Luckily for them, the Cullens and their witnesses were able to explain their situation and provide enough evidence to prove that Renesmee wasn't a threat to immortal existence, and the Volturi returned to Italy with their tails between their legs, so to speak. Life went back to normal for the Cullens. Bella, using her new found ability to sheild those around her from attacks from other vampires, worked it in reverse, pushing it back and allowing Edward to hear her thoughts.

The wind hit fiercely against Bella's face as she ran trying to keep up with her mate ahead of her. She smiled knowing full well that this should be painful, but it wasn't. The air hitting her face felt comforting. Watching as Edward began to take a longer lead Bella pushed with her all, and ended up catching a root. Now although she had become much more graceful as a vampire there was always the occasional mishap. Sadly, now had to be that time. She sighed as she caught herself and focused on getting back up to speed.
The two arrived at their cottage (Edward ended up beating her by a long stretch) and they entered inside. "It's no fair, even when I'm a vampire, I still loose to you at this." Bella gave Edward a playful grin as she ran up to him and snuggled into his arms. Her senses took in his aroma and she smiled at all the memories that appeared. Just as they arrived she pushed back her barrier so her mate could remember with her. After the last image had shifted through her memory, Bella re shielded herself. She loved Edward, but the fact that she was able to hide her thoughts from him made everything seem much more romantic to her.
The two sat on the couch in one another's arms as Bella's mind began to spin. "Does it still bother you love? That you can't hear my thoughts whenever you desire." Bella gave a coy smile as she looked up at Edward, her eyes innocent.
