It was early morning in the town of Forks. Genevieve had been up late finishing up an gown order for someone who wanted a recreation of a dress from the film,King Arthur. Personally Genevieve loved that movie but it was a pain in the butt to make...especially for her. But she managed to get some sleep and she woke up in the early parts of the morning. It was cloudy, looked like it was about to rain...the perfect day for a morning run. Ah,just the way she liked it.
She didn't even think about taking a shower as she would take one when she got home. She slipped on a dark red sweatshirt and red sweatpants and of course some sneakers. She grabbed her red Ipod as she slipped on some music from her favorite band,Paramore. She then walked out of her house, locking the door as she jogged through town and into the woods. As she made her way a familar part, she turned off her Ipod and began to do her daily Yoga training but while she was doing this--she had no idea she was being followed.

Not for the first time in his life, Ben was on the hunt. For whatever reason, Byron was somewhere in this sleepy, Washington town. All Ben could really know was that Byron was angry, but that wasn't exactly anything new. There were only two emotions he knew that Byron possessed; anger and greed. Oftentimes, there was very little difference between the two. Yet it seemed very curious, very curious indeed, but Ben had to remind himself to not find himself too curious about the goings on in that demon's life. Who knows what could happen. He might actually think of the man as someone worth pitying if he thought too much about what went on in his head. Even he knew that the greatest villains had reasons, had hearts. As a writer, that was necessary to know. He was far better off thinking of him as a simple minded killer.
While he wasn't entirely sure of where Byron was at the moment, he could smell him all over a man that was going through the woods, completely unaware of how he was being watched. Of course, another spy. Byron had a tendency of promising these men immortality in return for doing his dirty work, like kidnapping. Again, he wondered who he could possibly be looking for and this time, he was less reluctant to think of that. The responsibility for the life that was most likely in danger started up when he realized what Byron must have been planning, by sending this random man into this neck of the woods. He took a deep breath, mostly to keep tracking the man down and soon followed the scent.
Soon, another scent came up, a distinctly feminine one. Curiosity coursed through his venom filled veins before he hid behind another tree, the clear target of the spy now in his line of vision. For a moment, his breath hitched, as he stared at the young woman. After four hundred years, he supposed it was typical of someone to almost forget what their loved one from back then, especially after his life before he was bitten felt so flimsy, only occassionally giving him a clear picture in his mind. This girl seemed to shine a better light at one of them. The resemblance between her and Helena was so striking, that he wondered if he had strayed into a dream, or had somehow awoken to find that his four century long existence was merely a nightmare.

Vieve liked being in the quiet open when she did yoga in the forest. She liked to be in this open space and she liked to forget everything. But everything seemed to make her feel so calm and it made her forget everything about her life--her job,her busniess and most importantly her past. Mainly the part that involved Bryon. The man had left such an imprint on her mind and she couldn't be believe that she---she,Genevieve Alcander, had been in love with him and she knew quickly clearly his secret. He was one of the undead and he tried to make her one of the army of his lackeys or possibly his vampiress. Oh,she shivered at the thought of it--it sickened her! The man was pure and disgusting evil! It sickened her that she was even assoicated with her. So much so that during her yoga, she stopped and cried out angerily.
But no sooner that she did so,she heard some footsteps behind her and a breathing---well,sounds of angry breathing. Vieve turned around and saw a cloaked man with red hungry eyes. Vieve glared at him and asked,"What do you want?"
"The master wants you to return.'' One of Byron's lackeys. Typical,it was just typical of him. It was a shame it was not Byron himself. Vieve then looked at him and replied,"Well, you have to go to your master and disappoint him then. Because I made it very clear that I will not return to him--" But then the spy growled and replied, "Think again... or else...'' Vieve tried to grab her Ipod and leave but the spy grabbed her by the arm and twisted it behind her as he held a knife to her throat. Vieve then growled," Let me go! If you seriously do not want to be hurt..."

Ben was snapped out of his rapture when the girl let out an angry cry. Now what was that all about? As his mind slowly returned to the real world, he remembered why he arrived here, perhaps a few moments too late. The vampire was already behind her, they were already speaking. He had to give the girl one thing, she had a hell of a temper, and he admired the fact that she wasn't terrified, or any other emotion that would have had her frozen. It was sickening, how their looks had such an effect on humans, their prey. Even more shocking, she seemed to know what he was talking about. Now that was interesting...was this personal? Had he missed something in Bryon's existence that lead this lackey to this innocent girl?
Then the vampire grabbed the girl by her arm, twisting it behind her. Once again, something stirred in Ben and he let out a snarl. The resemblance between this girl and his dead wife, and the pain that she was being put through at Byron's hand...it was just like that night four hundred years ago. Except this time, he was as alert as they came. At this thought and no other stopping him, he snarled once again and rushed to the scene, his hand tight around the vampire's throat. "I do believe she asked you to let her go," he stated through gritted teeth as he tried to wrestle him off of her.

Genevieve was very, very disappointed in Byron. Not that she wanted to see the slimey bastard again but she was disappointed that he had not come to attack her in person, that way she could try to unleash her fury on him. But knowing that he was a vampire, the man would have murdered her himself or tried to bite her again like he did in the past but she had been foolish back then and so she had trained herself to be skilled in defending herself. She knew pepper spray did not work nor did a gun shot so basically she was screwed unless she could run that was what she had been doing for the past months and she did a damn good job of it until now that is....
Vieve winced when the spy grabbed her,he had strength, strength no human should have. He was a vampire,so that was the price that Byron was handing out to his lackies. Immortal life in return to their service to him--it sickened her. That dumb fool! Vieve hissed out at him,"Let me go if you know what's good for you....I'm not as weak as your master claims me to be..." But then before she knew it,she heard the spy give a gagging sound and he let her girl, making her fall to the ground as she looked up to see another man gripping onto the spy. The man had sucessfully gotten the spy off of her but she wasn't too happy with him being here. One,how did he know that she was in danger and two, what did he know about this? As she got up,she asked the man, laughing," Excuse me,um...uh,what are you doing?"

He would have loved to snap the vampire's neck right that second. Ben's grip tightened on him and he was about ready to throw him as far as he could manage before he heard another voice. Ben lifted his eyes to see the girl that had fallen to the ground when he had grabbed the vampire. He would have felt apologetic if it weren't for the fact that she didn't seem severely hurt and it was far better to be hurt than dead, precisely what her fate would have been if he hadn't stepped in, he was sure.
He had expected her to be shocked, or at the very least grateful. Instead, she seemed to be laughing sarcastically and was asking him what he was doing. He raised an eyebrow, for a brief moment, forgetting the spy, but never letting go of him. "What does it look like I'm doing?" he asked, his voice as smooth as it would have been if he were a human and talking with people was a simple habit. Yet he hardly spoke to anyone, almost avoided people, and he could still sound that way, almost attractive. Perhaps that would remind the girl that she had him to thank for the fact that she was no longer in pain.

Genevieve didn't know why but something about this man irritated her. In some way....she was a girl who used to think that she could handle herself and well,it also annoyed her that he had stepped in to save her butt. She could handle herself! She was a grown woman. She could handle herself. Hell, she had her own shop, she designed her own dresses and she had a good busniess and she could handle herself but when a man like...well,this stranger....he didn't say his name. But she would find it out sooner or later...but for now,she had to ask him what was his busniess! This had nothing to do with him. If he had not intervened, she would have handled the vampire herself. She didn't take some self-defense classes for nothing! It would all be in the case that Byron ever came around.
Vieve raised her eyebrow,oh,he was being difficult, was he? Genevieve then scoffed and replied," Well,it looks like you're butting in on something that's not your busniess. I had him under control and he did not want you...he wanted me so be wise and butt off." Genevieve knew that her words weren't wise so she tried to be nice about it. "Look,I appericate you saving me and all but I don't understand what this has ANYTHING to do with you!"
